  6. How long does the Brazilian Blowout last?
The Brazilian Blowout will last for 10-12 weeks if the after-care maintenance product line is used.

  7. Can you color your hair the same day you receive a Brazilian Blowout?
Yes, however, you must color your hair prior to having the Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment. If you get a Brazilian Blowout and wish to get a color service at a later date, you will need to wait 2 weeks.

  8. Is the Brazilian Blowout going to make my hair straight?
If your hair is wavy, the Brazilian Blowout will make your hair appear naturally straight and healthy. If your hair is very curly, it will minimize frizz while enhancing the appearance of the natural wave/curl. If you have straight, frizzy hair, this treatment will eliminate frizz and promote radiant shine.

  9. What kind of look will you get from the Brazilian Blowout?
The hair will be left totally frizz-free, shiny, effortlessly manageable and with plenty of body and bounce. There will still be the option to wear hair curly/wavy (depending on the hair type) and the freedom to blow dry hair smooth and straight in a fraction of the time invested prior to receiving the treatment.

  10. What can I do about damaged hair?
It's important to know from your stylist whether you hair needs moisture or protein. We have a wide variety of in-salon treatment services, as well as take home treatments that your stylist can recommend.

  11. Is it safe to chemically treat the hair when pregnant?
We always recommend that you speak with your OB/GYN first.

  12. I see that you use Aqua and Bellami Hair Extensions in your salon. What is remy hair and why is it advantageous for an individual who wants hair extensions?
Remy hair is the highest-grade, finest quality human hair for hair extensions. The cuticle of the hair is kept intact, allowing it to have a completely natural look. It is advantageous because the hair can be colored, highlighted, and styled with a flat iron or curling iron. Essentially, you can treat Remy hair as you would your natural hair.

  13. What types of hair extensions do you provide?

We use I-Tip beaded, K-Tip Keratin Fusion, Tape-ins, and hand tied Volume Weft.

  14. What is the proper way to care for hair extensions once they've been installed?
It's important to always use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner when you have hair extensions. Try not to expose the bonds to chlorinated water.

  15. Why is box color damaging to the hair?
Box color has metallic dyes, also known as metallic salts, in it. Metallic dyes fall into a category called "Progressive Dyes" because with every application the dye adds another metallic coating to the hair, essentially making it darker and darker each time the hair is colored. Metallic dyes are also extremely reactive to other chemicals. Putting salon-grade color on top of metallic dyes can cause adverse reactions to the hair shaft. Over time, these dyes damage the hair, leaving it feeling rough.

  16. Why is it important to use SPF for the hair?
Products that contain SPF for the hair will protect the hair from UV damage.

  17. Why aren't you supposed to wash your hair on the day you are getting a formal style done?
We recommend that you come to the salon with one-day old, not-washed hair. When the hair is squeaky clean, the curl or style is more likely to not hold as long. It's important to wash the hair the day before.
